Computing Points & how usage is measured

Computing Point ( CP) is the unit used to measure resource consumption on the EZYCLOUDX platform, covering GPU compute and related resources. This page explains what Computing Points are, how to buy them, and how EZYCLOUDX meters them against your services.

1. What is a Computing Point?

Computing Point ( CP) is the unit used to measure resource consumption on the EZYCLOUDX platform. Every GPU rental service — from VMs to Docker containers — is metered in Computing Points.

Computing Points are not currency, have no exchange value against any currency, and cannot be bought, sold or traded between users on the EZYCLOUDX platform.

Computing Points are used solely to meter your service usage on the platform and cannot be converted back under normal circumstances. In certain cases covered by the refund policy, EZYCLOUDX may refund the value of unused Computing Points. See the refund policy for details.

2. How to buy Computing Points

Computing Points are bought directly from EZYCLOUDX using the online payment methods supported on the platform. Once payment succeeds, the points are credited straight away and are ready to spend.

Sign in to your EZYCLOUDX account.

Go to the Payments page (left-hand menu).

Choose how many Computing Points to buy and a payment method.

Complete the payment by bank transfer or QR code.

Computing Points are credited to your account automatically once the system confirms the transaction.

Processing time: usually under 30 minutes within the same bank; up to 72 working hours between banks. See the payment policy for details.

3. The two kinds of Computing Point

Your account can hold two kinds of Computing Point, each with its own rules.

Standard Computing Points

  • Credited when a Computing Point purchase completes
  • No expiry date
  • Deducted after promotional Computing Points

Promotional Computing Points

  • Received from vouchers and promotions
  • Has an expiry date (N days from confirmation) — shown clearly in the interface
  • Expired points are voided automatically and cannot be restored

4. How EZYCLOUDX calculates Computing Point usage

Computing Points are deducted from your account automatically, per service. The consumption rate is always shown clearly before you confirm a rental.

GPU virtual machine (VM)

• Rented on a plan: hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.

• Computing Points are deducted at the start of the rental cycle and at every renewal thereafter.

• The machine renews automatically every cycle until you delete it yourself.

• Computing Points already deducted for a rental plan are not refunded if you delete the machine before the cycle ends.

Docker GPU Container

• Billed per hour actually used (CP/hour).

• Computing Points are deducted automatically each cycle while the container runs.

• Deleting the container stops the charges.

Service prices may change over time. Current prices are always shown on the GPU VM rental and Docker GPU pages. EZYCLOUDX may adjust Computing Point rates and service consumption from time to time. Changes do not affect service cycles already paid for.

5. When you run out of Computing Points

If your account does not hold enough Computing Points to renew the service:

The service is suspended immediately — VMs and containers stop and are reclaimed.

How to avoid this: Buy Computing Points before your balance reaches zero. You can check your balance at any time in the header or on the buy Computing Points page.

6. Computing Point & payment refund policy

Case 1 — Computing Point refund (compensating for downtime)

Computing Points deducted during the period of the fault are refunded when the incident originated with EZYCLOUDX:

  • • The machine hit an unexpected technical fault such as a hardware failure, a hang, a sudden restart, or an interruption caused by EZYCLOUDX.
  • • The customer could not reach, connect to or use the service because of a fault in the EZYCLOUDX system.
  • • Widespread infrastructure incidents affecting the service, including network, storage, power, virtualisation or EZYCLOUDX management system failures.

The customer keeps the service; only the Computing Points deducted during the fault are refunded.

Case 2 — Refund of the amount paid (on service termination)

When a customer wants to terminate the service and either of the following applies, the remaining Computing Points are converted to a bank transfer:

  • • The service could not be created or run because of a connection fault on the EZYCLOUDX side and EZYCLOUDX was unable to resolve it within 24 hours.
  • • EZYCLOUDX delivered a service whose specification does not match the published description.

Transaction fees (if any) are not refunded. Contact info@ezycloudx.com, or another support channel, to request processing.

Case 3 — No compensation

Apart from the cases above, EZYCLOUDX does not compensate in other situations, for example:

  • • Problems caused by the customer (misconfiguration, deleting a machine early, running out of Computing Points, etc.).
  • • Third-party software that does not work (games, applications, etc.): EZYCLOUDX guarantees the GPU service, not the bundled software.
  • • Promotional Computing Points received from a voucher.
  • • Accounts suspended or terminated for breaching the terms.
  • • Anything outside the refund scope defined in this policy.
